Great campsite! Perfect location. Beautiful scenery and close to anything you need. Campground is well maintained with a walking trail right next to the river. Clean bathrooms/showers/laundry area. We stayed for 4 nights and couldn’t have asked for a better spot. Highly recommend. 5 stars!
Not our usual campground (we like more space/privacy), however it was a fantastic area. You can walk to restaurants, breweries & shops, go for a walk around town, the creek, or hike the canyon trail. The campsites are very close together, with gravel driveways & a picnic table/concrete pad. We had full hook ups (many had 2 sewer hookups-front & back of camper). Grounds are excellently maintained & staff is really friendly & helpful. Laundry/bathroom/showers all very clean (need a code for bathroom/shower). Washer/dryers (4 of each) are Maytag, clean, & cost $1.50 per load (though you may want to put $2 in dryer (40 minutes) to be sure your clothes are dry.
VERY dog friendly RV park/trails & businesses around.
I highly recommend it. It is pretty pricey, but super fun. There’s a lot to do. Highly recommend it ❤️
This is a nice RV Park. It's really hard to reserve a spot here because it's full of out of state plates, but we love it. Or son is a student at the School of Mines and the RV Park is a great place for us to camp and enjoy Golden when there's a school event. We try to camp there twice a year and it's gorgeous.
Nice clean RV park within walking distance of downtown Golden, C0, via public walking/biking trail along Clear Creek. It's a small park with s small sites and tight spacing, but in a beautiful setting, with very nice public park adjacent. Recommended.
I gave it 4 stars because the sites are soooo close together. We had site 1 and the picnic area was on the wrong side, so we opened our door into the wall of the camper next to us with about 2 feet from the stairs to the next camper.
This place is sooo busy on the weekends do to the water park that is basically attached.
The facilities were nice. Staff were very friendly. Dumping was easy.
Booking is also difficult for summer. You can only book 60 days ahead and you better be on top of that site to get in!
This was by far our favorite stay! Though it is a small park, it was positioned by a beautiful river, it was walking distance with a walking path from Golden, and the surrounding mountains make it just perfect! We will definitely go back!
If you have excitable dogs, do NOT camp creekside!!! Too much traffic with people tubing (and walking back along the concrete walkway), bicyclists, joggers, etc, many with their own dogs.
There is a small dog park 1/2 mile away without crossing streets ( just an apartment entrance).
This is our 1st day of 4. So far, I'd much rather be alone in the woods than in the middle of a city. We'll see how it goes. EDIT: after 4 days, it has grown on me. The RV park is great for those who are traveling in their RV and don't want a hotel, but still be in the city. It's not me, but I can see the need.
The sites are concrete and gravel which I guess is OK. It isn't so hot the concrete is hurting the dog's paws (August 2023). College starts tomorrow, which is why the tubers are out in force today. I imagine weekends all summer are busy too.
Again, the trail between the campsite and creek is very busy. There is no privacy. Everyone on the trail has been super friendly. It depends on what you want your rv experience to be.
I stayed at Clear Creek RV park in Aug 2023. It is one of the nicest parks I've stayed. My site (site A) backed to the walking path and the creek but was separated from those by a split rail fence. I enjoyed watched people pass by on the busy path and watching "tubers" float down the creek. It is a 10 minute walk along the same path to town for lots of food and entertainment. The park is well cared for, the facilities in excellent condition. The staff were helpful and friendly. The sites are tight. My site barely fit my 18 foot teardrop trailer and mid-size pickup. The site was gravel with a paved pad and a good condition picnic table. I had good 5G ATT service. The park offers wifi. I booked my 2-day stay about a month in advance, not far enough in advance to stay more nights. I paid $85/night.
